Biolakes and natural pools

The swimming pond is a kind of artificial lake where the filtration occurs through a "refreshing" area  in which aquatic plants phyto-purify water while undertows and streams filled with stones hold the large impurities.

Thanks to the study and technology, Caputo Nurseries is capable of designing natural pools and biolakes reducing up to five times the release of treatment products.
Compared to a similar size pool, it minimise maintenance costs and enables the water treatment with organic products only.

The stone-built structure acquires and distributes heat evenly to the water.
This allows you to extend the bathing season by offering a more pleasant temperature (5-8 ° C higher than a traditional swimming pool covered with PVC of equal size and cubic capacity).

The environmental impact is minimal under all points of view, from energy consumption, the inclusion in the landscape, up to the building materials. This allows to obtain construction permits in a simple and fast way. During cold periods the biopool assumes the characteristics of a lake favouring natural seasonal changes of the garden, without the need of unsightly roofing.
